  Dr. Susan Vignola is a native of Chicago, Illinois. In 1975 she received her B.S. degree in Biology (with honors) from DePaul University of Chicago.
Her post-graduate training was at Loyola University School of Dentistry. She worked as a phlebotomist (blood-drawer) at the Hines Veterans Administrative Hospital and Loyola University Stritch Hospital during this period to help defray costs of dental school. After receiving her D.D.S. degree in 1979, Susan served in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. Her first tour of duty was in Mannheim, West Germany. She received a lot of invaluable experience as a young dentist. As a bonus, she and her husband Michael were able to travel all over Europe. She served a second tour at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. She became the clinic chief of a dental facility serving active duty military personnel and retirees. Dr. Susan and her husband often vacationed in Michigan and set their sights to settle down in the northern area. April 1991, Susan located her dental practice in Lake City, a wonderful resort area of Michigan, full of lakes and forests. She and her husband enjoyed the slower pace of life and abundance of natural beauty compared to the hustle and bustle of Chicago. |
